Patricia Ann Dance Studios is now celebrating 58 years in Dunedin, Florida. Elaine Forestier started the studio in 1961. In 1991, her daughter, Patricia McNally joined the studio after having a successful career in New York performing in shows such as "Cats" and "Sophisticated Ladies". The studio expanded to its current location with four classrooms and a competition team.
Patricia McNally has been the Artistic Director of Patricia Ann Studios in Dunedin for 25 years. Prior to her teaching career, Mrs McNally toured in many shows including Hello Dolly, Mame, Fiddler on the Roof, Lil Abner and Sophisticated Ladies. She performed in Atlantic City at the Claridge. She has appeared in commercials and on a TV Special with Glenn Campbell. Additionally, she performed the role of Tantomile and understudied the role of Demeter in Cats. She is a member of Actor's Equity Association and the SAG- AFTRA theatrical unions. Now as the director of Patricia Ann, she oversees the faculty and classes as well as teaching ballet, pointe and musical theater. Mrs McNally directs the Patricia Ann Competition Team which competes regionally January through May and Nationally each July. From 2010-2014, Mrs. McNally tested to be an American Ballet Theater certified teacher levels pre-primary through five. She is the adjunct Musical Theater dance instructor for the Pinellas County Center for the Arts, teaching Musical Theater students jazz and tap technique, coaching for Thespian competition and choreographing for the center's musical main stage productions. Mrs. McNally adjudicates for Walker's Rising Stars, the Ruth Eckerd Hall Scholarship auditions,Heritage Arts, Florida Dance Masters, and Florida Dance Educators Organization.
Morgan Angelillis began dancing at the age of 5 at Patricia Ann Dance Studios where she currently teaches. Her early tap training came under the direction of Elaine Forestier. She has gained additional knowledge from Master Instructors such as Debbie Dee, Dianne Walker, Michelle Dorrance, Nicole Hockenberry, Jason Samuels Smith, and the late Professor Robert Reed. Morgan continues her education in tap by attending annual tap festivals including the Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Tap City the NY Tap Festival, The Southeastern Tap Explosion, the Stockholm Tap Festival, The Big Apple Tap Festival and most recently the So Flo TapFestival. Ms. Angelillis has been on the staff of Patricia Ann Dance Studios since 2002 as an Int/Adv Tap instructor as well as choreographing for the competitive team. Her competition pieces have been recognized for high scores, best precision and best technical execution at both the regional and national level and have been showcased at Walt Disney World's Tomorrowland and Hollywood Studios. Wishing to share her passion for tap dance with the local community, Ms. Angelillis founded Tapped In, Inc., a youth/young adult tap performance ensemble, and currently serves as the President and Artistic Director. Since its inception in September 2008, Tapped In, Inc. has had as many as 15 active members and performs original works throughout Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee and Sarasota counties. In the Fall of 2013, Anthony LoCascio, an original NYC cast member of the show Tap Dogs, personally chose Morgan Angelillis to be a core member of his inaugural company, Taplife. The Taplife Company debuted at the Big Apple Tap Festival 2013 with a performance of "Blurred Lines".
Lori Land began dancing at Patricia Ann Studios when she was 6 years old. She studied ballet, pointe, tap and jazz as well as performed in "The Dance Company". In 2000, Ms Land graduated from Southern Methodist University Cum Laude with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Dance Performance. While at SMU, Lori performed in several student choreographed pieces, two pieces of her own choreography and a main stage production choreographed by Lary White of the Martha Graham Company. After graduation, Lori danced with the Dallas based companies Ewert & Company, NOVA Dancing Company and Dancers Unlimited. Ms Land also performed with the Firewalkers Dance Company in New York and The Joel Hall Dancers in Chicago as well as Chicago's Village Players Theatre for Youth. In 2010, Lori was cast as "best friends with" Abby Cadabby and Elmo in the Busch Gardens' show "A Is For Africa" at the Sesame Street Safari of Fun. In 2012, Ms Land joined the National and World tours Of Sesame Street Live's "Elmo's Super Heroes" for two tours as "best friends with" Abby Cadabby and Elmo. Lori returned to Busch Gardens in February of 2015 performing at the Safari of Fun in "Elmo Rocks!" Miss Lori holds the position of assistant character trainer at Busch Gardens as well as continuing to perform in their Sesame shows throughout the year. She enjoys sharing her passion and love of dance with the students as she begins her fourth year at PADs teaching our preschool and creative combo classes.
Debbie started dancing at the age of three, where she learned Ballet, Tap, and Modern. She started focusing on Ballet and at the age of 13 she joined The Johannesburg Art, Ballet, Music, and Drama school. Here she studied Royal Academy of dance under Bernice Lloyd. Along with her Ballet raining she also studied Spanish Dancing, Contemporary, and Lyrical Greek dancing. She received honors in her RAD Advanced Examination and was awarded her Solo Seal in 1989. She then joined Pact Ballet in her first professional year and later the Cape Town City ballet for the next five years where she danced a multitude of solo roles including Leading Willi in Giselle , Autumn Fairy in Cinderella, Nerriman in Raymonda, and the Big Swan in Swan lake. She later moved to the UK and under the supervision of Brenda Yeates received her I.D.T.A Intermediate Teacher's Certificate with distinction. She then went on to teach at the Solihull School of dance under Jackie Lee Clarke. In 2015 she moved to the US and is now delighted to join our faculty and hopes to be a positive influence on our young dancers!
Sophia Constantini began studying ballet, tap, and jazz at 5 years old. By the time she was ten, her love of dance had driven her to add hip hop, contemporary, pointe and musical theater. Sophia performed with the Miami City Ballet in the children's corps at Ruth Eckerd Hall for four seasons. Competitive dance also became a part of her schedule at ten and continued throughout high school. Sophia attended Clearwater High School where she sang and danced with their Thespian Troupe in the annual musicals and the regional and state theater events. Attending St Petersburg College for two years achieving her A.A., Sophia performed with the dance company CoMotion. Miss Constantini has now completed her accounting degree at USF. Sophia has been teaching and coaching for the studio for four years sharing her passion for dance. Her lyrical choreography has consistently won first place honors at both regional and National competition in solo, duet and group pieces.
