Doricha Sales has been involved in the dance world for over 40 years and is currently a pedagogue and researcher specializing in the field of ballet. Born in Massachusetts, Ms. Sales trained with the Boston School of Ballet, School of American Ballet, and Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts before receiving her B.S. in Ballet Performance and History from Indiana University. Her performing career spanned 16 years with Boston Ballet, National Youth Ballet, Indianapolis Ballet Theatre, and Dance Theatre of Florida. After her stage career, Ms. Sales developed a high interest in ballet training methods and developmental cognition for diverse children. She returned to Indiana University receiving her M.S. in Ballet (Pedagogy) and Educational Psychology where she remained for an additional 13 years as faculty in the IU Ballet Department. Ms. Sales currently teaches ballet courses at Pinellas County Center for the Arts and is a consultant for ballet schools and students nationwide.
